How to clean lights
Cleaning overhead light fixtures and light bulbs is a great way to make a room look cleaner and brighter. Make it a part of your regular cleaning routine; it’s one of those small things that makes a huge difference.
First, turn off the lights and allow your lamps and bulbs to cool down. You may want to plan this for day-time, so you can see the fixtures clearly as you’re removing and scrubbing them. Don’t forget to grab a step ladder or a chair to safely get the fixtures down, if necessary.
Dilute ¼ cup of your favorite Pine-Sol® scent in a gallon of warm water. Apply a small amount to a cleaning cloth, paper towel or sponge, and gently go over lights and lamps as needed. You may even need to dip an old toothbrush into the mixture to get into lamp cover corners or lamp base angles. Just be sure not to let moisture seep into wiring or bulb contacts.
Try Pine-Sol® Lemon Fresh for kitchen and living room lights, and soothing Pine-Sol® Lavender Clean® for bedroom and bathroom lamps.
