How to clean a refrigerator
No doubt about it, the fridge is the undisputed workhorse of the kitchen. It’s always on, ensuring your food stays fresh and safe. Just be sure to keep it clean, inside and out.
Before cleaning your refrigerator or freezer, be sure to empty it of all food items. You may want to do this right before a grocery trip to cut down the number of items to remove. For any items you’re especially concerned about leaving out of the fridge during your cleaning, consider placing them in a cooler or even in a sink full of ice. Don’t forget to turn down the cooling power so it’s not as cold for your scrubbing session.
First, dilute ¼ cup of Pine-Sol® Multi-Surface Cleaner in a gallon of warm water. Use the mixture to wipe down the inside walls with a sponge. You may need a full-strength dose to handle those hard-to-clean areas. Just be sure to thoroughly rinse any surface that might come into contact with food or food containers.
