How to clean tile

Tile can give a resilient, hand-crafted look to areas of activity, like entry ways and bathrooms. Ceramic tile is beautiful when it’s shiny and clean, but daily use can dull its surface with layers of ugly soap scum and grime. Be sure to avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that can wear down and damage your tile over time.

To restore tile flooring, shower stalls, counters and backsplashes to their original shine, start with a solution of ¼ cup of Pine-Sol® Multi-Surface Cleaner in a gallon of warm water. Apply a moderate amount to a mop, sponge or cloth, and give the tile a gentle wash. Be careful, as wet tile floors can be dangerously slippery.

Tough spots can get the full-strength treatment, as long as you rinse the area with water right away. If you’ve got stubborn grout stains, attack them with a toothbrush soaked in Pine-Sol® Multi-Surface Cleaner.

Lemon Fresh Multi-Surface Cleaner can bring kitchen tile a fresh-scented clean or Sparkling Wave® Multi-Surface Cleaner on bathroom tile can make your commode seem like a pristine beach.
